- Guidebook with maps/step-by-step : From the car park, take the small Route de Brésy. When you reach the Lys Blanc and the Chalet aux Bons Fromages, the small road leads onto a footpath up to Gron plateau, a magnificent wild valley at the foot of the Pic du Marcelly. We leave the resort behind us, for natural and wild wide-open spaces. When you reach Petit Planey, there’s a worthwhile short detour to the right leading to the Planey viewpoint overlooking the Giffre Mountains. For the way back, follow a small, quiet road via Planey or an alternative via Pontet, where you'll end up on the stone path at the end.
