It's party day at the Chartreuse de Mélan. It's off to an enchanting medieval day: banquet, music, games and jousting for the kids!

Welcome to the Chartreuse de Mélan, where the magic of the Middle Ages comes to life all day long (from 10am to 3pm).
It's a feast day today, with many knights gathering to orchestrate an exceptional tournament! A banquet, enchanting music and medieval games punctuate the day, culminating in a jousting tournament contested by our valiant budding knights.

During this medieval day, children will take part in four captivating activities, spread over the morning and early afternoon.
First, "A table!" will plunge them into the culinary world of the Middle Ages, exploring the cuisine and art of the table of this fascinating era.
Then, "Apprentis troubadours" will invite them to discover the mysteries of medieval musical instruments and test their sense of rhythm during a dynamic 30-40 minute musical animation.
Creativity will be in the spotlight with "A vos couleurs", a workshop in which each child will create a banner in the bright colors of his or her team, encouraging artistic expression and a sense of belonging.
In the "Faîtes vos jeux" activity, children will experience a captivating time of discovery and experimentation with medieval games, independently supervised by the group's guides.

The day culminates in an exciting tournament, where teams of knights compete in an obstacle course. This final event will last between 45 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on the number of teams taking part, bringing a medieval day of adventure, discovery and festivities to a close.

For a total immersion in the medieval atmosphere, children are invited to come dressed as knights, making this day a real journey back in time, where memories, laughter and wonder will be the order of the day.
