Community of communes Montagnes du Giffre
The Communauté de Communes des Montagnes du Giffre (CCMG) was created on January 1, 2013, for an unlimited period and comprises 8 communes: Châtillon-sur-Cluses, La Rivière-Enverse, Mieussy, Morillon, Samoëns, Sixt-Fer-à-Cheval, Taninges and Verchaix.
Description
To carry out its responsibilities, the Communauté de Communes des Montagnes du Giffre relies on some thirty year-round employees, backed up by seasonal workers as needed.
The community's services are organized around the following divisions:
- Management, with two administrative directors.
- Administrative services, in charge of day-to-day operations: reception, risk prevention, human resources, accounting/finance, communications, events, tourism, natural areas.
- The waste department, which manages waste collection (household and recyclable), manages the waste collection center and invoices the household waste tax.
- The urban planning/territorial development department is responsible for economic development, land use, planning, housing and local economy (trade and crafts).
- The children/youth department, which manages the "La Marmotte" day-care center and the youth center.
- The trails department, which carries out annual maintenance work on the territory's 650 km of marked trails.

Opening hours on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 9 am and 12 pm and between 1.30 pm and 5 pm. On Wednesday between 9 am and 12 pm. On Friday between 9 am and 12 pm and between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm.
