Discover the great Ziegler organs at the Notre-Dame de l'Assomption church in Samoëns, under the leadership of Mickael Meynet.
A few months ago, the large Ziegler organs from the Temple of the Bee in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland) played border-crossing to take their place on the rostrum of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Samoens.
An amazing journey for this twentieth century musical instrument, Swiss made, which has been fully restored and harmonized for the church of Samoëns. Its restoration, a popular work helped by a subscription from the Heritage Foundation, represented a major project. The Franco-Italian team led by the famous organ builder Michel Formentelli worked for many months to breathe new life into this instrument. The town of Samoëns invites you to visit and discover its organs. If the instrument accompanies every moment of religious life, it also gives its breath to local life by participating in the artistic influence of Haut-Giffre and in the aesthetic sense of its inhabitants. Enter the gallery and discover this incredible tangle of technologies. Where the ultra-modern meets the primitive, to the great glory of the king of instruments.
