Traditional Savoyard singing ensemble / choir.
The Lou Shan ensemble of Grou T'lli is dedicated to the research, exercise, dissemination and preservation of traditional Savoyard songs as they were sung around 1850. For this purpose, it has collections made more than a century ago, songs transmitted until then only orally. The collectors wrote them with their music and thus constituted a precious background, a kind of faithful recording.
Our domain extends to the entire historical and geographical part of Savoy over the ages. Our repertoire currently includes more than 60 songs. We perform in concerts or animations in the upper Giffre valley and even further depending on our availability.
Our costumes are made by one of us, a heritage guide and originally from this part of the valley, with authentic elements that were offered to her by their owners or with reconstructions that she builds as faithfully as possible.
All year round.
Except the second fortnight of February and the month of September.
